Timber Doors

We manufacture a variety of timber doors in our workshop, from fully glazed through to fully panelled doors, to the very highest of standards and workmanship. Our doors, along with our hardwood windows, conservatories and lantern roofs are designed to enhance your property and to be low maintenance. Each timber door is individually customised using your own choice of timber, ironmongery and finish. Full manufacturing drawings are produced to your exact dimensions for final approval.

We specialise in all kinds of timber doors such as Entrance, French, Stable and Sliding Folding (or Bi-Fold) Doors, all are available with or without sidescreens in timber, glass or a combination of both.

Door Timber Options

Our doors are machined and detailed in our own workshop. Idigbo is very often used as our standard timber. It has excellent durability and lifespan and takes either a clear or painted finish extremely well. We have also manufactured timber doors in Red Grandis and engineered timber. Many other species such as oak and Accoya are also available.

Ironmongery

Handles are selected by the customer. There is a range of styles and finishes available. We can also source ironmongery to match existing handles / styles within a property. We incorporate modern multi-point espagnolette locks as standard but other options, such as five lever mortice locks, are available. Click here to see our standard range of handles.

Timber Finish

We offer a range of finishes to suit the location, timber and your preferences. When a painted finish is required, we use three coats of micro-porous paint – any colour, to your taste. Paint finishes are spray applied in the factory, our automated paint plant produces a finished product with a durable and high build uniform coating. We also offer a range of stains to protect and enhance. We can prepare samples for you whenever needed.

Glass Options and Specifications

A range of double glazed units can be accommodated in our timber doors. We always use softcoat low e glass units filled with argon gas for improved thermal efficiency and we fit various other options to improve “u” values or to ensure greater security, laminated glass for example. We can also incorporate engineered insulated timber panels if required.  Etched or patterned glass can also be incorporated and we can even make special openings for cat flaps in panels or the double glazed units themselves.

Quality Craftsmanship

Your timber doors are machined, joined, finished and glazed in our workshop using the very latest in timber machining technology. The whole process is under our control and the end product leaves our workshop fully factory finished, wrapped and ready for installation.

Customisable Door Sections

Where practical, we can alter stile, jamb or rail widths, add mid-rails and panels to your own design or to maximise glass area, finish and glass specifications to suit you and ironmongery options from a vast range of suppliers. Our expertise delivers the quality of product for which Clifton Joinery is renowned whilst still giving you the control and ability to personalise your joinery.
