Based in Bristol, Clifton Joinery Ltd specialise in high quality bespoke joinery products. Experienced craftsmen utilising traditional joinery skills can undertake a diverse range of projects for both commercial and private clients. With full accreditation from the BWF and TWA, and a member of the Wood Window Alliance. We have a Kitemark Licence from the BSI for our box sash and flush casement windows, assuring customers of the highest quality levels.

Experienced in working with wide ranging materials and finishes:

Our skills are demonstrated in the imaginative way we use these materials, including stainless steel, granite, stone, fabrics, glass and naturally wood. Our traditional designs are married with practical technological advantages i.e. draught proofing, high specification glazing and ironmongery.

Product ranges:

We have an enviable reputation for producing top quality box sash windows (also known as sliding sash) with traditional weights and pulleys. We also make flush casements with a huge variety of hinge, ironmongery and moulding options. More recently bi-fold (sliding/folding) doors have become very popular. Much of what we produce is made in hardwoods such as Sapele or European Oak (all from renewable sources). Unlike other joineries we don’t have “named” standard ranges because we make everything to our customers’ particular requirements – we make joinery to suit you, not to suit us!

Specialist commissions:

Bespoke pieces are timeless creations. Recreating heirlooms or a treasured item from photographs and designs, our in-house team have the skills to design and build your custom furniture project. Restoration and renovation work (example Thornbury Castle) uses our joinery skills to replicate existing traditional fittings that are almost impossible to differentiate from the originals. Alternatively, give us a brief and we will turn your wish list into the reality of a stunning new piece of joinery or furniture.

We are also particularly good at matching existing styles of joinery for historic building conservation, restoration and conservation areas. Fine features such as 16mm glazing bars are no problem.
